Maintenance and repair of cement mixer trucks
As a transportation vehicle, concrete mixer trucks must comply with the provisions of Order No. 13 of the Ministry of Transport in 1990 in terms of maintenance and repair, and implement the maintenance and repair system of "regular inspection, mandatory maintenance, and repair as needed". Under this premise, combined with the actual situation of concrete mixer trucks, maintenance and repair should be done well. In terms of daily maintenance, in addition to routine maintenance of the engine, chassis and other parts of the vehicle, concrete mixer trucks must also do the following maintenance work.
Cleaning
Since concrete will solidify into hard blocks in a short time and has a certain degree of corrosion to steel and paint, it is a daily maintenance work that must be carefully carried out to clean the concrete adhering to the concrete storage tank and the inlet and outlet after each use of the concrete storage tank. These include:
a. Wash the feed port with water before each loading to keep the feed port moist during loading;
b. Fill the cleaning water tank that comes with the vehicle with water while loading;
c. Rinse the feed port after loading to clean the residual concrete near the feed port;
d. After unloading at the construction site, rinse the discharge trough, and then add 30-40L of cleaning water to the concrete tank; keep the concrete tank rotating slowly in the forward direction when the vehicle returns;
e. Remember to drain the sewage in the concrete tank before the next loading;
f. Thoroughly clean the concrete tank and the area around the inlet and outlet at the end of each day to ensure that there is no cement or concrete lumps.
If the above work is not done carefully once, it will cause great trouble to future work.
Maintain the drive device
The function of the drive device is to drive the concrete tank to rotate. It consists of a power take-off, a universal shaft, a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic motor, a control valve, a hydraulic oil tank and a cooling device. If this part stops working due to a fault, the concrete tank will not be able to rotate, which will cause the concrete in the vehicle to be scrapped. In severe cases, the entire tank of concrete will condense in the tank, causing the concrete mixer truck to be scrapped. Therefore, whether the drive device is reliable is an issue that must be highly valued during use. In order to ensure that the drive device is intact and reliable, the following maintenance work should be done:
a. The universal joint is a fault-prone part. Grease should be added on time, and the wear should be checked frequently, and repaired and replaced in time. The fleet should have a spare universal joint assembly to ensure that it can resume work within tens of minutes in case of a fault.
b. Ensure that the hydraulic oil is clean. The working environment of the concrete mixer truck is harsh, and it is necessary to prevent dirt and mud from entering the hydraulic system. The hydraulic oil should be replaced regularly according to the user manual. Once water or mud is found mixed in the hydraulic oil during inspection, the hydraulic system should be cleaned and the hydraulic oil should be replaced immediately.
c. Ensure that the hydraulic oil cooling device is effective. Clean the hydraulic oil radiator regularly to prevent the radiator from being blocked by cement, check whether the radiator electric fan is running normally, and prevent the hydraulic oil temperature from exceeding the standard. As long as the hydraulic oil is kept clean, there are generally few faults in the hydraulic part; but the service life is different for different manufacturers.
